    • THE GLEN ALLEN YOUTH ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1965 AND HAS BEEN AFFILIATED WITH BABE RUTH BASEBALL AND BABE RUTH SOFTBALL ORGANIZATIONS FROM THE BEGINNING.  AS TIME PROGRESSED, THE ASSOCIATION ADDED BASKETBALL TO IT'S OFFERINGS.  THE ASSOCIATION IS A CHARITABLE, VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION DESIGNED TO PROVIDE A POSITIVE ENVIRONMENT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF SPORTSMANSHIP, ATHLETIC SKILLS AND CHARACTER.  WE OFFER PROGRAMS FOR YOUTH BETWEEN THE AGES OF 4 AND 15 IN BASEBALL, 4 AND 16 IN SOFTBALL, AND 6 AND 18 IN BOYS AND GIRLS BASKETBALL.  THE BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL PROGRAMS ARE MANAGED IN ACCORDANCE WITH GUIDELINES SET FORTH BY NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL YOUTH SPORTS ORGANIZATIONS. THIS ORGANIZATION PRIMARILY SERVES YOUTH OF GLEN ALLEN AND WEST RICHMOND, VIRGINIA BUT HAS EXPANDED TO INCLUDED CHILDREN THROUGHOUT HENRICO COUNTY AND THE CITY OF RICHMOND.

    • 2015 PITCH HIT AND RUN UPDATE


    • We had a very successful Pitch, Hit and Run Competition at RF&P Park Sunday April 19.  A special thanks to former and current GAYAA players who now play for Glen Allen High School for coming out and volunteering their time to help run the competition. 


      Our champions listed below with a * by their name have all qualified to advance to the next level, the sectional competition in Hopewell.  Congratulations to them and all the competitors who came out and made today a great event.  We wish our champions good luck going forward.

    •  - Note from County - Please NOTE that NO Bikes, Skateboards, or Scooters are permitted at RF&P Park on the sidewalks, stadium concourse, or on any field.  Please remind your children of this issue!

      • - RF&P Parking - As a reminder and notice - please park ONLY in lined spaces.  No parking along any curbs is ever permitted and towing/ticketing could take place without warning.
      • - JBP Parking - Please utilize the two parking lots adjacent to the fields.  The back lacrosse parking lot and/or the pool parking lot.  There should be NO vehicles entering the park and/or parking on the gravel area other than league officials and other authorized personnel.

    1. Download the Glen Allen Sports mobile app from your phone's app store.  This will be the first line of communication when the weather causes practices or games canceled.

    • memorial day baseball tournament

    • may 22-24, 2015

    • Glen Allen Youth Athletic Association is hosting the 1st Annual Memorial Day Extravaganza for baseball teams.  This tournament is for ages 8u - 14u and will be played at RF&P Park and Jack Bourne Park.  These are some of the finest fields in Virginia and you will not want to be anywhere else.

      Entry Fee: 
      8u - 12u:  Discounted price if you register prior to April 1, 2015:  $350 
                         After April 1, 2015:  $400

      13u - 14u:  Discounted price if you register prior to April 1, 2015:  $400
                After April 1, 2015:  $450

      Registration fees include baseballs, umpires and championship awards.  Tournament winners will receive championship t-shirts.

    • Fall baseball travel league

    • Glen Allen Youth Athletic Association is proud to announce a new fall baseball travel league coming to RF&P Park and Jack Bourne Park in 2015.  This travel league will feature ages 9u to 14u on the best fields in the Commonwealth of Virginia.  The format will focus on an odd and even weekend so teams will have off every other weekend to play in other travel tournaments.  A single elimination tournament will be used at the end of the fall season to determine the overall champion for each age group.  For more information about this new adventure, please contact Mark Pierce, Commissioner for the Glen Allen Fall Baseball Travel League.

      More information will be forthcoming on both the baseball and softball travel leagues.
